Climate of the game. Chapter 1 page 1. Bongo scene/Canadian

I bid you Welcome to Provelistic Ent, Relax and enjoy.

The entertainment  business in Tanzania has come a long way even though it still has so far to go.   The quality of movies, music and night life is improving.
Music is still dominated by uptempo  swahili records performed by people in bright colors, tight jeans and will never miss a chance to whine their waist. The cool part is that they are making their money so they are happy with that (can't knock the hustle) . The not so cool part is that the audience is left to believe that that's  all the scene has to offer.
Hip hop is still taking a back seat  so even the most classic Mc's are not warmly embraced.    heavy weight Kiswahili rappers have captured the hearts of people so they have no problem  packing venues  and get endless props for their lyrics.  The rest of the world doesn't know that Tanzania has tight MCs. Simply because they don't understand what is being said so they enjoy the flow for a little while and drop it. Then there's  those who mix english with Swahili and call it "Swaghili".   The buzz is great and the local audience is soaking it all in real nice.    Then there is a league of MCs that have a strong command of the English language and can compete on an international scale if given the chance.  English records from abroad still dominate the airwaves.

This new jam put together by DJ khaled is mad dope.  Im entertained by Jay z's verse.

The climate seems to be shifting though, records in English performed by Tanzanians are becoming more relevant because the number of people thinking on an international scale is increasing.  That doesn't mean that the Swahili records are becoming irrelevant. Infact more doors are open and more light can be shed on our culture if we can embrace the global arena.

The Fact the Diamond Platnumz has been nominated by B. E .T is proof of what I am Talking about

Clubs such as "Runway" and "327" provide an international experience that showcases how much the scene has evolved.
The genius of the "Zodiac"parties  and "Grown and sexy"opens doors for International DJs and Artists. The red carpet photography and grand style has the Hollywood aura.  Starring Abby as the mastermind.
"Groove theory" parties are attended by the elite party people that crave the international experience consistently.
With the Homie Amour as one of the masterminds

Lets talk about some food.  Tanzania has some of the most amazing meat fesitivals.
The atmosphere is always peaceful. people eat all the meat they possibly can and drink all the bear.

Back to some music

Vanessa Mdee is one of the top artists In Tanzania. Her song "Come Over" is  a personal favourite

Radio stations such "choice fm"(clouds) have eloquent English speaking radio personalities that have become extremely popular and a few of the models are stepping their game up.Bringing the sexy with class.  The quality of their images has noticeably improved.
One of the Top models in Tanzania  is Hamisa Mobeto.
A heavy presence in Music videos and dominates "Likes" on social media.
With outstanding photography choices laced with her poise and grace she has proven that she will only get bigger in this industry and can compete on an international level.

buoart  is a Tanzanian photography company that has done well with capturing  the nature of Hamisa. They too have an international mindset and are a force to be reckoned with.
below is one of Hamisa's favourite songs from the Peponi camp.

Lyrics
She plays a match maker on the radio
Record her on my stereo,
Caramel skin got me shook
juicy lips,hips got me lookin'
Thinkin' about the things I'd be doin'
If she gave me one night
In that black dress
Got me wonderin' who she tryna impress
Gives me high 5
when she sees me
got the face of a princess
staring at her dance is relieving all of my stress
all i'm thinkin' about is sex
hit it from behind
grabin' on her breasts
tryna give her the best
heavy breathing session
turn her over,switch position
back to back penetration
with all due respect
them curves are magic
or I must be sick
so forgive me if I look gyal

(Pre-hook)
She wine it,she grind it
them curves are magic tonight

I see her...I see her She wine and she grindin'
curves are magic tonight
I see her.. she wine and she grindin'
Curves are magic tonight.
I see her...I see her.. I see her  she grindin'
Curves are magic tonight

Verse2.
Not ashamed of the sexy pics
saved on my computer
what I feel is part of human nature
ayo technology
I need you right infront of me
twerk it, work it how you like it
Like you're Iggy Azalea
Fit the glass slipper
freaky cindarela
perfect instrumental for my A capella
naked under the umbrella
she moves like Rihanna
stalks the room with this power
even when she's gone I think about her
thank god I'm a song writer
I can tell you all about her
compliments she gives me leaves me flattered
keeps me focused even when my thoughts are scattered
Stalk her like a leopard
talk about her on my record
simply cuz she called me "Hun"
feel the thrill of the hunt
hot as a pistola
gets me higher than a joint from Jamila
play the song and Miley Cyrus is a stripper
work
let me see you take it deeper for me mami
cant take my eyes off of that body
with all due respect them curves are magic tonight.

(Repeat hook)

(Improvised outro)

Moving on to some film

Shows such as "Siri ya Mtungi"  display the advancement in film.

In the clip below a friend of mine, Amby Lusekelo takes us behind the camera

Overall everyone seems to be a bit more open minded, more channels of work are taking form.
I think the future looks bright and those in the game have proven strong enough to weather the storms.  I hope Tanzanian artists can find it in their hearts to support each other allot more.  More Tanzanian attention should be given to art in Tanzania.
I see more tours, more classy parties and within time the entertainment industry will be able to embrace what is unique a bit more often instead of getting caught up in language and culter barriers.

H.I.M  is a talented Tanzanian artist that is looking foraward to releasing his next project called terminal.  Which includes songs recorded at "Peponi Records"

Now lets get deep and Shift things back to Africa.

Here's what Sandra Had to say About African history. This was taken from her facebook post.

I think some people forget Egypt's history. I don't know where along the lines the wires were crossed and Egypt was considered "Arab", it makes me cringe. We were colonized by the Arabs, why identify ourselves by our oppressors? We're AFRICAN, like actually in Africa not the made up cartography of the non existent middle east. Our history is rich and deep, don't spoil it with ignorance.

Here's what I think.  Humans should stop killing each other because of their difference in skin color, religion, class or whatever else they wanna use as an excuse to hate. We should all live in peace together. There is so much to learn from each other.
-Proveli Van

If you get time to watch the video above it's interesting to think that the ancient Egyptians were in tune with the principals of SOUND

The Sound Hustle LP

Greetings Ladies and gentlemen,First off I would like to thank you for your time.
It has been quite the musical journey thus far,Once things in the studio started rolling the records began to pour out. online mix tapes "Sound hustle Book 1 and 2" packed memorable records such as "Perfect creature" and "Behind the curtain"  They played a key part in getting more familiar with the  machines  and acoustics in the studio. It gave people a chance to observe and give constructive criticism. Also gave the artists a chance to see which songs resonate with the audience the most.

Now we have compiled a list of records that people have openly enjoyed in their cars, at the pub, and in the gym.
" The Sound Hustle LP" Four songs on this CD have received radio play on East Africa radio which is an urban radio station delivering a program mix that includes a diverse and unsurpassed music offering. East Africa radio is the first of its kind in regional broadcasting in Africa. Operating from Dar es Salaam the signal is delivered by satellite to Nairobi and Kampala and then broadcast terrestrially.
Clouds Entertainment also show cased what was to come on a show called Siz kitaa.

The Sound Hustle Lp consists of 13 tracks put together like a greatest hits CD carefully packaged in physical copies selling at 10,000 shillings each. So far distributed by Garage media.
This project is my fourth studio album following  "Rhythm and Poetry"  "The Paradox"
and Phantom of the rap era" which were all released in Canada,Edmonton Alberta.
The Sound Hustle is my first Long play here in Africa.
Each song on the disc has it's own vibe and even though soundwise there is always room for improvement,
as a songwriter and vocalist I totally stand by this effort.
There's the classics and future classics.
It's my lil' Magnum opus.

when the basketball coach tried to get you to run and not walk what did he say?

The simple fact about the flyer above is that those are real spiders that I unfortunately had to destroy.
There were a few spider webs which I found fascinating and the spiders were small and didn't bother anyone. So I just let them be.
The very day my shipment came in I was sitting in the studio alone and heard something move  on the table,by the weight of it's sound I thought to myself  "It has to be a big lizard"  but then I turned around and saw an eight legged freak vigorously rush across the table. It was extremely quick and considering how close it was getting, it's behavior seemed aggressive. I grabbed a broom to try and maybe sweep it out or swat it but it was too quick. So I closed the door and dashed out to get bug spray. I still had to come close enough for it to be effective. So I got back and there it was, not even hiding poised on the wall,so I came closer and it just looked at me,Then right when it was about to make a move I started spraying SHHHHH!!!  now it was pissed, I came closer and sprayed some more until slowly it seemed like it was drunk and after about three minutes it dropped dead.
So I looked around and realized  they were living in the top corner of the studio basically right above the head of whoever was sitting at the computer.
So I destroyed all the other ones, I felt bad for taking a life but I could understand why my sister in law really can't stand spiders.
I said to myself I'm not going to let these freaks ruin her studio experience,I got her back and as long as I'm making music I guess I'd have to kill all the spiders for Nadia.

I hope you enjoy the music as much as I enjoyed making it.

Here's some stuff that inspires me that you might find entertaining.

I used to think sleep paralysis is a bad thing until a friend of mine showed me these videos that prove it's actually a good thing
And I learned that for the most part I feel an out of body experience many times when I am in the recording booth.    ASTRAL PROJECTION

Performed at "The police Officers Mess" at the Crystal Bar Ndovu in collaboration with "The works Ent"

Memoirs from beautiful Hell: 2nd entry; the abyss

Gabriel recieved a call telling him to go pick up his package so he hopped on a Tuk tuk (Bajaj) and rushed to the def ex offices.
He signed his name, took the package and soon as he got back into the Tuk tuk.....  he opened it..
His heart stopped then shattered. His return to Provelania was refused and this meant he was not going to see his wife and child anytime soon.

The offices claimed he didn't have enough family ties in his country and they totally disregarded his endorsement letter from the NU.
Sure they call it hell.....But they forget how beautiful Gabriels home is.
Home to him meant Peace of mind, the reason why he considered Provelania home Too.
It was at least 3 years since he had connected with the people who actually appreciated his wizardry and now he was stuck again.
Dr Naker couldn't find a cure for the disease that was now suffocating Gabriel's heart.
Gabriel hadn't heard from him in a while and wondered if this was the lesson he was supposed to soak in.
Would the Dr really just let him die?  or is it something Gabriel will never understand.
Is the pain and misery his destiny or can he still afford to be happy go lucky.
oh yes...  thankful he must be... he should smile, The books will help him deal with his deadly emotions.
Precious time oh precious time...
Only time will tell.
There is a part of him that began to feel cold, dead smack in the middle of beautiful Hell...

Memoirs from beautiful hell: Exile 271817

Memoirs From Beautiful hell is a fictional book with one half of reality. It explors the life and times of a fallen angel named Gabriel who was cast away from Provelania but now had to find a way to be with his family
and live a normal life.

Gabriel was handling his depression well, He still had hope he still had life.
He rarely smiled but when he did it was usually because the innocence of a child cheered him up.
Now he had a child of his own whom he hadn't even met.
Deep inside he felt so wounded that he decided to bring the sharing of his creativity to a halt.
Paranoid about being missunderstood he wondered if his new complications were caused by people taking his art out of context.
He missed his wife dearly who was suffering without him in ways even he couldn't fathom.

Sometimes he wished Dr Naker would call him, Just to show care. Gabriel felt completely left out and alone.
Ironically his writting became more intense.
People calimed that he wasn't serious about his own talent but he knew that one day things would finally make sense to them but for now only his wife could possibly understand.
The clock was ticking, each day put a new scar on his soul.
The last time he talked to his wife Snow, the phone died. The power cut off too so he had to go to a cafe to charge his breaking down phone.
The heat was  intense.
still.. Just another day in beautiful hell.
He prayed and wondered if he would ever make it back to Provelania.
they say home is where the heart is.
Gabriel was 3 years deep into exile.

Legendary( Lyrics) Updated article

Rhyme and Reason: I wrote this song when I was cornered into feeling worthless.  They say you are what you think. I'd rather adopt legendary thoughts.  I didn't want to depress people. I wanted something fun a bit witty and edgy at the same time

Come kick your flow with me
Make it LENGENDARY
yeah!

Nude flicks
Topless pictures of the princes they get plenty press
I'm still not impressed
Seen her on the TV just the other day
I heard she bad as she wanna be
Buzzin' Like a killer bee
Hit her up on Twitter tell her to follow me
Me and the competition got no rivalry
Really,It's just inspiration
Success is certain
Trust me
There's no need for confrontation,see....
I was was wondering if you wanna kick your flow with me
Sit back and watch your spine drop low
Red and black
Lookin' kinda fly up in your video
I just wanna share a best case scenario
Combine the sound become a team
Your jersey number 91
Mine's 23
if i miss the shot
Catch the rebound for me
There's no need to stand arround and act funny
That's blaspheme
Everything I touch is legendary
I heard you bad as you wanna be
Buzzin' like a killer bee babe.

Chrorus Bad as you wanna be
              Buzzin' like a killer bee
Come kick your flow with me baybay
             Ah yea!
             Make it LEGENDARY
             Make it LEGENDARY
             Make it LEGENDARY
             Baybay   (repeat)

I get the picture now (repeat 3)

Make it legendary baybay!

Verse 2

Vision and positive thinking basicaly get you over your hurdles
Even if your thinking's as slow as a turtle
master splinter I shred 'em to pieces
Back with my nephews and nieces
Remeniscin' on my capabilities of telekenesis
they lie on the Television
This is aggressive marketing but I'm loving it
Chew the beat up like McChicken till they stop bitchin'
Still in the kitchen what thye think I do is sickenin'
What I actualy do is classic
Fill out the paper work and make'em pay my kids for the record
Remain on the internet even when I'm dead
clear as yesterday the words I said
Never dusty
Never rusty
Dope melodies please don't push me
Take caution when you choose to approach me
Don't take my ideologies lightly
You heard heard
I'm legendary
Right??!!!!!!

I get the picture now (Repeat 7)

Chorus

Outro

I know a legendary moment when I see one

By the way I think Em should have done more movies.  I think the reason why he says Relapse sucked was because he felt bad about dissing Nick Cannon on "Bagpipes from Baghdad" , then there was the track "Insane" where he talked about being molested by a stepfather.   Really uncmomfy  topic.

Sure seemed to be going overboard with what he was saying but I think it was all for the thrill( meaning his style revolves around shock value, That's his thrill) and overall  the album was a classic mix wise DR DRE really did his thing. As a producer you've got to give him his respect.
Who knows maybe he was venting and it just came out wrong.

One of my own projects I don't like happen to be perfect creature simply because I feel like the video doesn't do me justice.

Here Riz and i were opening for Lloyd Banks.  performing in canada was always Thrilling for me.

Canadians Always showed me love.

It's not what it looks like HA!  I was shaking hands with people in the front row

LINKING TWO WORLDS
Hip hop culture in Canada is growing in a very positive way and I think one of my missions as Sir Provelistic is to link  the North American scene with the East African scene.  But that's just being specific.  Bringing all kinds of people together is one of my purposes.

As an Entertainer I have learned that sometimes you may please your audience and sometimes you may upset them but you have more to fear in boring them.

people want to be Thrilled.
Entertainers are Modern day gladiators.

I do believe in freedom of speech but that doesn't mean you have to deliberately seek out to offend people.
Everything has it's time and place.

It's like how any adult knows that you don't show horror movies and gangster rap to kids.
some of your adult friends might be entertained though.

The climate here in the East African hip hop community is good.  Although I do believe that more detail needs to be paid enhancing the system of credit given to the artists. More respect for the art instead of always using artists as marketing tools for phone companies.Which is fine,a good idea in fact but it can't be the only way for an artist to be successful.

There is such a thing as having too much talent depending on the occasion and those involved.
If someone else sees you as a threat as competition in their field then they may be reluctant to help you.
It's like crabs in a bucket, they'll try to step over each other to get out.

On a good note there are lots of open channels for the future and the circumstances teach you allot about patience.
If I could somehow over time manage to invite more Canadian artist to the East African scene then I'm sure we could learn allot from each other and would make the game more interesting.

It's our differences that will make us appreciate each other.
The arts will blend masterpieces from two worlds and give birth to something completely new

The entertainment  scene now here in Tanzania keeps sizzling which is a good sign for the future.

An artist by the name "Njama"  King of drama just recently did a song with a hot producer on the rise that goes by the name Mensen.  check out the reverbnation Link

He blends bongo flava with an international vibe with ease.  People first got a glimpse of this talent during the Nokia "Don't break the beat" battles.

He's the dude on the far right with the peace sign

Also check out this freestyle recorded inside Peponi Records

WELCOME AGAIN.
BE BLESSED WITH PEACE,LOVE AND UNITY.
